The Riedgraben in the upper reaches of the Schatebach is an approximately seven-kilometer-long right tributary of the Helme in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia in Germany .
course
The stream has its source in a wooded area near Schate . Only after the outflow of the shadow pond has started, does it continuously supply water, since its source dries up in dry seasons. It flows north from the source, before it touches the settlement, it turns to the east. It does not change this eastern direction of flow until it flows into the Helme.
