The Schateteich is a small pond in the municipality of Werther in Thuringia in Germany.

The Schateteich is a good 1 km south of Großwerther . A few meters to the north is the Schate settlement . Also worth mentioning is Wolkramshausen in the Wippertal , a good 5 km south of the pond.

The pond has a circumference of about 50–65 m, but is not circular. It is surrounded by various deciduous trees. Reeds and reeds are rooted on the bank . Duckweed can be found on the surface of the water . The outflow of the pond flows into the Schatebach , which from then on constantly carries water and flows into the Helme at Sundhausen .
