Giant: Kingdom Falling is a Canadian science fiction / fantasy production that first aired online on November 2, 2009. The series revolves around Giant, Princess of the Kingdom of Eleysia, who flees from her persecutors through the war-torn land. She is accompanied by her wolf Fenrir. Her persecutors belong to a dangerous religious group, the sect, which has been tasked with hunting down and eradicating them.

Riese was written by Ryan Copple and Kaleena Kiff and produced by Galen Fletcher and Nicholas Humphries. Production of the first five episodes was completed on September 2, 2009 and went online in the fall of the same year. Due to the good response, the next five episodes were shot. The American broadcaster Syfy became aware of the production and acquired all broadcasting rights.

The cast of "Riese" all come from well-known science fiction and fantasy series.
