The Rifugio Arp is a refuge in the Aosta Valley in the Valais Alps . It is located at an altitude of 2,446  m in the Valle d'Ayas side valley near the Alm Palasina within the municipality of Brusson . The hut is managed from the beginning of June to the end of September and during this time offers 111 mountaineers sleeping places.

Ascent

The hike begins about 500 m after Estoul, a district of Brusson . There is a parking lot on the left ( 1850  m ). From Estoul, you can reach the refuge via the hamlet of Chanlossere on simple, unpaved farm roads within 2 hours.

Alternatively, you can visit the Champoluc refuge (4 hours) or Gressoney-Saint-Jean (5 hours) on trail 105.

history

The refuge in its current appearance was inaugurated in 1995.

From the refuge there is an easy path to the Laghi Palasina lakes.

  • Crossing to the Rifugio Alpenzù ( 1779  m ) via the Colle Val Nera ( 2676  m ).
  • Crossing to the Rifugio Vieux Crest refuge ( 1935  m )
  • Transition to Champoluc, a district of Ayas , via Colle Palasina ( 2668  m )
