The Rifugio Pian di Crest (also Rifugio Piano delle Creste ) ( German : Pian di Cresthütte) is a self-catering hut in the municipality of Cevio in Val d'Antabia, a side valley of the Bavona valley in the Ticino Alps . It belongs to the Società Alpinistica Valmaggese (SAV), which is part of the Ticino umbrella organization Federazione Alpinistica Ticinese (FAT).
description
The hut is located at 2108 m above sea level. M. in a side valley of Val Bavona, on a plateau on the southwest side of Pizzo Basodino. To the west it is surrounded by the chain of peaks between the canton of Ticino and the Italian Formazza valley.
It consists of two buildings that were created from four alpine buildings. It was inaugurated in 1984 and restored in 1990. The two-story hut has two lounge / dining rooms with 15 and 30 seats. The kitchen has a gas and wood stove and cookware. The 36 beds are divided into two rooms. Outside there are tables and a fountain.

- From San Carlo ( 960 m above sea level ) in Val Bavona, the hut can be reached in 3 ½ hours on foot (level of difficulty T2).
- From Rosèd / Roseto ( 741 m above sea level ) in Val Bavona in 5 hours (T3).
- From Foroglio ( 684 m above sea level ) in Val Bavona in 7 hours (T3).
- From Ponte / Zum Schtäg ( 1280 m above sea level ) (Formazza Valley, Italy) via Passo Tamier in 5 hours.
The three valley locations in Val Bavona can be reached by public transport in the summer season.
