The Capanna Grossalp ( German Grossalphütte ) is a refuge in the Swiss Bosco Gurin , Canton Ticino . It belongs to the Locarno section of the Unione Ticinese Operai Escursionisti (UTOE) and the umbrella organization Federazione Alpinistica Ticinese (FAT). The Grossalphütte can be reached via a one-hour hike from the village or via a chair lift.

Long-distance hike Spruga - Bosco Gurin : starting point Spruga or Capanna Alpe Salei : 1st stage via Passo del Bùsan to Capanna Alpe Arena in 3 ½ hours, 2nd stage via Passo della Cavegna to Rifugio La Reggia Cimalmotto in 4½, 3rd stage Passo Quadrella to Capanna Grossalp in 3 hours or Bosco Gurin in 4 hours. The walking time for the 26-kilometer route over three passes with a 2200 meter ascent and 1800 meter descent is a total of 12 hours (level of difficulty T2).
