Riku Matsuda ( Japanese 松田 陸 , Matsuda Riku ; born July 24, 1991 in Osaka , Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Riku Matsuda learned to play football in the youth team of Osaka Central FC , the school team of Rissho University Shonan High School and the college team of Biwako Seikei Sport College . From April 2013 to April 2014 he was loaned from Biwako Seikei Sport College to FC Tokyo . After the loan ended, he was signed by Tokyo in 2014. The club, which is based in Tokyo Prefecture , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . By 2015 he had played 16 first division games for the club. In 2016 he moved to Cerezo Osaka . The club from Osaka played in the second division, the J2 League . At the end of 2016 Osaka finished fourth in the table and rose to the top division. In 2017 he won the J. League Cup with the club . In the final they defeated Kawasaki Frontale 2-0. In the same year he won the Imperial Cup with Osaka . With 2: 1 (n. V.) they won against the first division club Yokohama F. Marinos .
