Riley Patrick McGree (born November 2, 1998 in Adelaide ) is an Australian football player .

Career

society

The midfielder made his A-League debut for Adelaide United on March 19, 2016 against Western Sydney Wanderers . In the play-offs, in which the Adelaides team won the championship , he did not come to the train. After he made his starting eleven debut at the beginning of the following season at the first round in the FFA Cup 2016 against the lower class club Redlands United , he received a professional contract with Adelaide.

In July 2017, McGree moved to Club Bruges in Belgium. After not playing for Bruges in the first half of the season, he returned to the A-League on loan in January 2018. First on loan from Newcastle United Jets for half a year and then a full season from Melbourne City .

In summer 2019 he was signed again by Adelaide United and was able to win the national cup with the club in October . In the final against Melbourne City , a crowd of 14,290 at the local Coppers Stadium was an undisputed success and McGree scored in the 75th minute to make it 4-0.

National team

McGree played for the Australian U-17 selection and took part with them in the 2013 AFF Junior Championship and the 2014 U-16 Asian Football Championship when the Australian team advanced to the semi-finals.

In November 2018, he played two games for Australia's U-23s .
