Rimasco

Rimasco ( Piedmontese Rimasch [riˈmaʃk] or Walser German Rimaschk ) is a fraction of the municipality of Alto Sermenza in the Italian province of Vercelli (VC), Piedmont region .

Until the end of 2017, the place formed an independent municipality with 104 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2016). The neighboring municipalities were Boccioleto , Carcoforo , Fobello , Rima San Giuseppe and Rossa ; Districts were Campo Ragozzi, Dorca and Ferrate. On January 1, 2018, Rimasco merged with the previous neighboring municipality of Rima San Giuseppe to form the new municipality of Alto Sermenza.

The town's patron saint is San Giacomo ( Saint Jacob ).

The place is 82 km from the provincial capital Vercelli , at an average altitude of 906 m above sea level, in Val Sermenza, a side valley of the Valsesia . The former municipality covered an area of ​​24.28 km².
