Ring of young leagues Baden-Württemberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ring of Young Bünde Baden-Württemberg eV (RjB BaWü) is an association of independent and independent youth groups in Baden-Württemberg . Through joint activities, the association promotes the connection between the individual member organizations and enables an exchange of experiences with one another, which should have a positive effect on youth work.

history

The association was founded on April 19, 1970 by seven youth associations as a joint umbrella organization and pursued similar goals as the ring of young leagues founded in 1966 and operating nationwide , but limited its activities to the state of Baden-Württemberg. Both associations act independently of one another; the RjB BaWü is not a subdivision of the nationwide ring of young fraternities, but was represented there at times by delegates.

With its size of 12 member associations, it offers a varied picture, which is shaped by scouts , migratory birds , young people and life reformers . The common denominator of the members lies in their roots in the tradition of the German youth movement .

tasks

Youth work

The member associations of the RjB BaWü are youth associations independent of adult organizations. Despite the different names and objectives of the individual organizations, the focus of the work is on the formation of closed youth groups . In these, the children and young people should, among other things, show life in a group community, develop a sense of responsibility towards people and the environment and promote social engagement. These goals are primarily conveyed through intensive coexistence within the groups, in which young people and young adults assume responsibility as group leaders.

Trips and camp

An essential element of group life is the planning and implementation of trips and camps that last several days or weeks. You want to consciously leave everyday life behind you with its comfort and advantages of civilization in order to experience and experience the simple life in nature with little luggage.

activities

An important task of the association is the organization and design of joint activities of its member organizations. The central event in the course of the year is the large-scale final meeting, which is held every year on a weekend after the summer vacation. In addition, the association offers seminars, fireplace evenings and individual events.

Youth policy

The association represents the youth policy interests of the individual member associations in various organizations such as the State Youth Association Baden-Württemberg, the State Academy for Youth Education and the Rotenberg Youth Castle , to which it sends delegates. In addition, the RjB BaWü coordinates the distribution of grants, for example from the state youth plan.

Volunteering

The association is supported by the commitment of its member associations. As in the member federations themselves, all tasks are performed exclusively in the form of voluntary work.

education

The association is also an educational body for youth group leaders. In group leader courses and various seminars, young people are prepared to lead groups and take on responsibility. Young adults who have already gained experience in youth work give lectures.

Education Centre

The central educational establishment is the so-called Handwerkerhof near Mosbach in the Odenwald . It was acquired in 1982 as a dilapidated rural property and renovated and continuously expanded in voluntary work. A blacksmith's shop, a carpenter's shop, a pottery and a printing shop have now been set up. In addition to working, the courtyard can be used by groups for courses and seminars. A tent field is also available.
