history

Rinklingen was first mentioned in a document in 768. This makes Rinklingen the oldest part of the city of Bretten. In 1971, the formerly independent municipality of Rinklingen was incorporated into the city of Bretten, which was welcomed by the population due to the close proximity and close interlinking of the two municipalities. Since then, the district has steadily increased in population and settlement area.
