Rinspeed speed type
The Rinspeed Speed-Art (also called Rinspeed Nissan 300 ZX "Speed-Art" or Rinspeed Nissan "Speed-Art" ) is a concept vehicle from the Rinspeed company based in Zumikon , Switzerland . The car is based on the Nissan 300ZX and was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1992 on the occasion of the “25 years of Nissan in Switzerland” anniversary .
The car was tested at the Hockenheimring a month earlier . A maximum speed of over 300 km / h was determined.
design
The Speed-Art was painted by the Swiss painter Rolf Knie with around 420 horses in order to live up to the motto “Art, Cars and Speed” under which the auto salon was held that year. In addition, the animals symbolize the increased output of the car from the standard 283 HP (208 kW) to 420 HP (310 kW).
technology
In addition to the increase in horsepower, the car received larger intercoolers , an adapted injection system , a hi-flow exhaust and a reinforced clutch . In addition, larger turbochargers were installed.
The car was also heavily modified in the interior. In addition to a roll bar , which was installed due to the higher performance, the company replaced the standard seats with Recaro sports seats. It also built red four-point seat belts and a red and black leather interior. The technology in the cockpit of the car has also been slightly modified, including Rinspeed boost pressure and exhaust temperature displays.
