Rising Records
Rising Records is a British metal - and hardcore - label . Rising Records was founded in Little Clacton in 2003 by Mark Daghorn.
Well-known groups that are or were under contract with the label are Bleed from Within , Sworn Amongst and Trigger the Bloodshed . The German metalcore band Cocoon , which has since dissolved , was also under contract with the label for some time. They were the first band from Germany to be signed to the label.
In Germany, the record company's releases are distributed through Cargo Records .
The label and boss Mark Daghorn came under fire for allegations of blackmailing bands. He allegedly asked for £ 5,000 before his record company signed the group. In addition, Daghorn is said to have made excessive offers to affected musicians. After Bleed from Within changed labels, the group sued the label because they too were affected by this action.
