occupation

Riss is a ten-minute short film by Biene Pilavci . It tells the story of a young couple who go home after shopping and a pensioner who is annoyed by the couple's folly.

action

Frank and Denise went shopping and are carrying their bags home. Since Denise is in a bad mood, Frank tries to cheer her up by taking her protectively in his arms while a fast-moving car drives by. Denise smiles. Suddenly the driver comes up to the couple and complains about the behavior of the two. At first Frank doesn't take the pensioner seriously, but he doesn't give up. Against his will, Frank finds himself in an argument with someone he doesn't know. The argument escalates and Denise is the one who finally puts an end to it.

reception

criticism

“With a skilful montage, an excellent camera and the expressive play of the actors, the film student Biene Pilavci tells a convincing story in just 9 minutes, in which she by no means wants to answer every question. Thanks to its dynamic arc of tension, this film not only delivers a sophisticated game with the audience's expectations at the end. "
