The Ritja Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Ритя lednik Ritja ) is a steep, 1.8 km long and 1.4 km wide glacier on Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . From the southeastern slopes of the Imeon Range it flows northeast of the Nosei Glacier , southeast of the Kongur Glacier and south of the Saparewo Glacier in a southeastern direction from Mount Christi to the head end of Linevo Cove on Boyd Strait .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the town of Ritja in northern Bulgaria .
