Laura Chiesa (born August 5, 1971 in Turin ) is a former Italian sword fencer .
successes
Laura Chiesa first won a silver medal and two bronze medals at world championships with the team, before she became second in the individual competition in 1993 in Essen and finally in 1994 in Athens . In 1992 she had also won bronze in singles at the European Championships in Lisbon . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , she finished 26th in the individual competition. In the team competition, she reached the final together with Margherita Zalaffi and Elisa Uga after victories against Estonia and Hungary , in which France prevailed 45:33.
