The Ritterstraße 6 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building is located on the north side of Ritterstrasse in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Ritterstraße 7 to the west.

Architecture and history

The four-storey brick building was built in 1890 by master carpenter W. Scheumitz for master carpenter Albert Fehle. The six-axis facade is designed with forms in the style of the neo-renaissance and has a representative plaster structure. The entrance is on the fourth axis from the left. The facade is rusticated on the ground floor . On the façade of the upper floors, the richly profiled window frames and roofs are striking. The building is covered with a mansard roof .

Together with the neighboring house number 7, the building represents a typical design for the Wilhelminian era . The group of houses is a relic of the Wilhelminian development in the New New Town.

In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a residential building under registration number 094 82837.
