Ritual is the debut album by the Swedish progressive rock band Ritual . It was published by Musea in 1995 .

Creation and publication

In the first few years since it was founded, Ritual was not very active, as the singer and guitarist Patrik Lundström was in great demand as a musical performer . In 1995 the band signed a contract with Musea and recorded their debut album. Guest musicians were Lotta Hasselquist (violin), Mats Karlsson (accordion) and Birgitta Ulfsson (narrator). In the fall of 2003, Ritual was remastered by Hans Fredriksson and re-released in 2004 via InsideOut Music .

Ritual play a catchy and original mix of progressive rock, folk rock and hard rock on their debut album . There are echoes of Gentle Giant , Yes , Genesis and Queen .
