Rivand ( Persian دهستان ريوند) is a district in the central area of the Nishapur administrative district , Razavi-Khorasan , Iran . At the 2006 census the population was given as 12,619 people living in 3,301 families. The district has 59 villages.
Near the village of Rivand are the ruins of a Khone-ye Div called Tschahar Taq , which was believed to have survived until 9/10. Century when the Zoroastrian fire temple was in use.
