The Rivenæsnuten ( Norwegian ) is a 2670 m high and partly snow-covered mountain in the Heimefrontfjella of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up at the southern end of Sivorgfjella .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1987. It is named after the Norwegian engineer Lars Rivenæs (1878–1945), a leader of the resistance movement against the German occupation of Norway in World War II , who died in Gusen III in January 1945 .
