The River Eye is a river in Gloucestershire , England .

The Eye arises north of Bourton-on-the-Water and flows in a generally southerly direction to join the River Windrush to the southeast of Bourton-on-the-Water .

The places Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter are on the Eye.

The Eye flows through the dammed Upper Lake ( 51 ° 55 ′ 25 ″  N , 1 ° 47 ′ 5 ″  W ) and immediately afterwards through The Lake ( 51 ° 55 ′ 8 ″  N , 1 ° 47 ′ 0 ″  W ).
