The River Misbourne is a watercourse in Buckinghamshire , England . It arises on the northern edge of Great Missenden and initially flows in an easterly direction. East of Ammersham , its course turns south. It flows northeast of junction 1 of the M40 motorway on the border of Buckinghamshire and Greater London in the River Colne .
