The Rivière Hamelin is a right tributary of the Rivière Arnaud in the administrative region of North du Québec of the Canadian province of Québec .

The Rivière Hamelin forms the outflow of Lac Tasialujjuaq in the east of the Ungava peninsula . It leaves this at its northern end and flows over a distance of 40 km north to the Rivière Arnaud. On the stretch of the river, the river overcomes several rapids. The estuary is 100 km west of Kangirsuk settlement .

The Rivière Hamelin was named after Jean-François Hamelin , a land surveyor. The river used to have a different name: Rivière Pelletier .
