The Rivière Saint-Augustin River (in Newfoundland and Labrador : Pakut-shipu , formerly the Saint Augustin River ) is a river in the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador and Québec .
The river length is 193 km. The catchment area covers 9510 km². The mean discharge is 292 m³ / s.
The Rivière Saint-Augustin river has its origin in the mainland part of Newfoundland and Labrador south of Lake Melville . It flows in a south-southeast direction over the provincial border to Québec and flows into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence at the two places Saint-Augustin (on the east bank) and Pakuashipi (on the west bank) . Shortly before its mouth, the tributary Rivière Saint-Augustin Nord-Ouest meets the river coming from the west.
