Rixa from Werle

Rixa von Werle (* around 1270; † November 26, 1317 ) was Duchess of Braunschweig-Lüneburg , Princess of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel-Göttingen .

Life and family

Rixa was the daughter of Heinrich I , Prince von Werle and his wife Rikitsa (Richiza) and the granddaughter of Birger Magnusson von Bjälbo and his first wife Ingeborg . She married Albrecht II , Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Prince of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel on January 10, 1284 or as early as 1282.

The marriage had 13 children:
