Rob McElhenney (born April 14, 1977 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor, screenwriter and producer with Irish roots.
biography
McElhenney graduated from Saint Joseph's Preparatory School in Philadelphia in 1995 . 1997 began his acting career, first with smaller roles in films such as The Devil alongside Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt , as well as guest appearances on Law & Order and ER . A bigger role followed in 2003 in the film Latter Days . In 2004, his manager presented a concept for a new sitcom to those in charge of the FX television station , which received a positive response. Since 2005, the series has been broadcast in Philadelphia under the title It's Always Sunny . McElhenney works among other things as a screenwriter and producer for the series.
While filming the series, he met Kaitlin Olson . They both got engaged in 2007 and married on September 27, 2008.
