The Robben tip ( english Seal Point ) is a promontory at the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It extends to the north on the south-eastern edge of Hope Bay between Eagle Cove in the south-west and Hut Cove in the east.
It was discovered and named by the exploration team of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Johan Gunnar Andersson under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld during the wintering in Hope Bay in 1903. The fact that the team here their food and drink gave it its name Replenished fuel with the help of hunted seals.
