The hat Cove is a small cove on the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located in the eastern part of Hope Bay between the Robbenspitze and the Grunden Rock .
The bay was discovered by the exploration team of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Johan Gunnar Andersson under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld while wintering in Hope Bay in 1903. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) named it in 1945 after the FIDS built a hut for him in the southwest of the bay.
