The Jagged Rocks ( English , Spanish Rocas Denticuladas , each translatable as jagged rocks ; in Chile Rocas Olivares ) are a group of reef rocks off the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula, partially washed over by the sea . They are located near the center of Hut Cove in the eastern part of Hope Bay .
A team around Johan Gunnar Andersson mapped them in 1903 as part of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey made the descriptive naming in 1945. The namesake of the Chilean name is Luis Olivares, a participant in the 3rd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1948–1949).
