Rober Haddeciyan or Haddedjian ( Armenian Ռոպէր Հատտէճեան ; * 1926 in Bakırköy , Istanbul ), officially Rober Haddeler , is a Turkish writer and dramaturge of Armenian descent and since 1967 editor-in-chief of Marmara (or Nor Marmara ), an Armenian-language daily newspaper in Istanbul. His newspaper appears six times a week (except Sundays) and has a circulation of 2,200 per issue.

biography

Rober Haddeciyan was born to Avedis Haddeciyan and Siranush. He graduated from the Armenian - Mechitarist Gymnasium Özel Pangaltı Ermeni Lisesi in 1944 and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy of Istanbul University . Haddeciyan, who already worked as a journalist for the Marmara , took over the newspaper in 1967 and became its editor-in-chief. His columns in the Nor Marmara are translated into Turkish by his daughter-in-law Karolin Haddeler and published in the weekly Turkish supplement. He has also published 50 to 60 books so far. One of his most famous books is the novel Arasdagh (Առաստաղ, Ceiling ) published in Turkish under the title Tavan .

honors and awards

In 2011, at the time of the 20th Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia , Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan Haddeciyan awarded the Mesrob Mashdods Medal for his contribution to Armenian literature , theater and journalism.
