Vivario (Corsican: Vivariu ) is a French commune with 432 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Corse department on the island of Corsica . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Corte and the Canton of Corte . The locals call themselves Vivariais or Vivariacci .

Geography and traffic

The municipality is located in the Corsican mountains, in the catchment area of ​​the Vecchio River . The neighboring municipalities are Venaco in the northwest and north, Noceta in the northeast, Muracciole in the east, Ghisoni in the southeast, Bocognano in the south, Pastricciola in the southwest and Guagno in the west.
