Ventiseri ( Corsican : Vintisari ) is a French commune with 2,481 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Corse department on the island of Corsica . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Corte and the Canton of Fiumorbo-Castello . The residents call themselves the Ventisérais (Corsican: Vintisaresi ).

geography

Located in the south of the Fiumorbo region, the municipality is bordered to the south by the Travo River . To the east lies the Tyrrhenian Sea . Ventiseri is surrounded by the neighboring communities Serra-di-Fiumorbo in the north, Solaro in the south and Chisa in the west.

In addition to the core town, the municipality also includes the villages of Piediquercio , Travo , Mignataja and Vix . The national route 198 runs through the municipality . The military airfield base aérienne 126 Ventiseri-Solenzara is located here .
