Poggio-di-Venaco is a commune in the French department of Haute-Corse on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Corte in the Arrondissement of Corte . The residents call themselves Poggiolais or Pughjulacci .

The municipality lies on average at 630 meters above sea level and is crossed by the railway line Bastia - Ajaccio of the Chemins de fer de la Corse . Poggio-di-Venaco borders in the north with Corte and Santa-Lucia-di-Mercurio , in the northeast with Favalello , in the east with Sant'Andréa-di-Bozio , in the southeast with Erbajolo , in the south with Riventosa and in the west with Casanova .
