Scolca with the Church of San Mamilianu

Scolca is a French commune in the Haute-Corse on the island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Golo-Morosaglia in the Arrondissement of Corte . The residents call themselves the Scolcais or Sculcaracci.

geography

The village center is around 600 meters above sea level in the Corsican mountains. The neighboring municipalities are Rutali in the north, Vignale in the northeast, Lucciana in the east, Prunelli-di-Casacconi in the southeast, Volpajola in the south, Campitello in the west and Murato in the northwest. The nearest train station is in the Golo valley and in the municipality of Volpajola and is named after the Barchetta district. The responsible railway company are the Chemins de fer de la Corse .
