Parata is a municipality in Castagniccia on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the Haute-Corse department , the Corte arrondissement and the Castagniccia canton . Neighboring communities are Monacia-d'Orezza in the north-west, Velone-Orneto and San-Giovanni-di-Moriani in the north-east, Santa-Reparata-di-Moriani in the south-east and Valle-d'Orezza in the south-west.
