Sant'Andréa-di-Cotone is a French municipality on the island of Corsica . It belongs to the Corsica region , the Haute-Corse department , the Corte arrondissement and the Castagniccia canton. The residents call themselves Cotonais (es).

geography

The village center with the Mairie in the scattered settlement Chigliacci is located at about 480 meters above sea level in the Castagniccia . The hamlets of Ciglio and Cotone also belong to the municipality . The border with Chiatra leads over the 24.6 km long and approximately 60 km² large reservoir Lac de barrage d'Alesani . The dam is on the eastern side. Sant'Andréa-di-Cotone borders on Cervione to the north, San-Giuliano to the east, Chiatra and Pietra-di-Verde to the south and Ortale and Valle-d'Alesani to the west .
