Carpineto is a municipality on the French island of Corsica . It belongs to the Haute-Corse department , the Corte arrondissement and the Castagniccia canton . The residents call themselves Carpinitacci.

Carpino is in the center of Castagniccia . The settlement area is an average of 700 meters above sea level.
