Castirla

Castirla is a municipality on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the Haute-Corse department , the Corte arrondissement and the Golo-Morosaglia canton . The neighboring communities are Castiglione in the north and north-west, Omessa in the north-east and east, Soveria in the south-east and south and Corscia in the south-west and west. The peak of Monte Pinerole at 1951 meters above sea level is the highest point in the municipality. Another elevation is the 1641 m high Monte Agatu.
