Chiatra is a French commune on the island of Corsica . It belongs to the region of the same name , the Haute-Corse department , the Corte arrondissement and the Castagniccia canton . The residents call themselves Chiatrais or Chjatresi. Neighboring communities are Sant'Andréa-di-Cotone in the north, San-Giuliano in the east, Canale-di-Verde in the south and Pietra-di-Verde in the west. The village center is at 408 m. ü. M. The predominantly wooded municipality marker is touched in the northwest by a lake, the Lac de Retenue in the Vallée de l'Alesani.
