Lucciana is a municipality with 5780 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Corse department on the French island of Corsica .
geography
Lucciana is located on the eastern edge of the Corsican mountains. The villages of Casamozza and Crocetta as well as the holiday resorts Plage de la Marana and Plage de Pineto on the Tyrrhenian Sea also belong to the municipality, which extends over the coastal plain to the Mediterranean . The southern border of the municipality is the Golo , the longest river in Corsica.
Most of Bastia Airport, including the access road and terminal buildings, is located in the municipality of Lucciana .
The neighboring municipalities are Vignale in the west and northwest, Borgo in the north, Monte and Vescovato in the south and Prunelli-di-Casacconi in the southwest.
