Ogliastro is a commune in the French department of Haute-Corse on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Cap Corse in the Arrondissement of Bastia .
geography
Ogliastro is located on the Cap Corse and borders the Ligurian Sea to the west . The settlement area is an average of 130 meters above sea level and consists of the villages Ogliastro, Marine d'Albo ( Corsican Albu), Cocollu Supranu and Cocollu Suttanu.
The small, green-gray stones on the beach of Albo got their color from the serpentinite , which was mined in a now closed asbestos plant in the municipality of Canari to the north .
