Morsiglia is a municipality on the Cap Corse of the French island of Corsica . It belongs to the Corsica region , the Haute-Corse department , the Bastia arrondissement and the canton of Cap Corse. The place name was derived from the Corsican Mohr . The residents call themselves Morsigliais .

geography

The settlement area is an average of 200 meters above sea level and consists of the villages Mute, Stanti, Baragogna, Pecorile, Mucchieta, Posacce, Sundi and Pruno. The municipality borders the Ligurian Sea to the west . Neighboring communities are Centuri in the north, Rogliano in the northeast, Meria in the east, Luri in the southeast and south and Pino in the south and southwest.
