Robert Bühler (politician)

Robert Bühler (born September 21, 1928 in Grosswangen , resident in Grosswangen and Lucerne ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Bühler worked as a primary school teacher from 1950 to 1961. He then worked first as a municipal career advisor in Lucerne (1961 to 1968) and later as head of personnel at the Lucerne city administration (1968 to 1977).

In 1963 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Lucerne . When he entered the government council in 1977 , he had to give up his parliamentary mandate due to the separation of powers . In the government council, he headed the military and police departments (including environmental protection) and was mayor in 1983 and 1989 . He was elected to the Council of States on June 19, 1989 and left office on December 3, 1995.
