Robert Baumberger

Robert Baumberger (born August 24, 1895 in Zurich ; † May 7, 1986 in Bern ) was a Swiss painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

Baumberger completed an apprenticeship as a lithographer in his native Zurich from 1911 to 1914 and then worked in different locations. From 1923 to 1933 he attended evening classes at the Bern School of Applied Arts, where he practiced life drawing . From 1928 he worked as a painter and graphic artist. Among other things, he created pictures of landscapes, still lifes and portraits. In 1948 and 1950/1951 he went on study trips to Italy and France.
