Robert Beatty

Robert Beatty (born October 19, 1909 in Hamilton , Ontario , Canada , † March 3, 1992 in London ) was a Canadian actor .

Life

Beatty initially worked as a representative and appeared in amateur theater pieces. In 1938 he made his debut on a London theater stage and appeared for the first time in film. His most famous roles were those of Dr. Ralph Halvorsen in Stanley Kubricks 2001: A Space Odyssey and that of the fictional General George Carnaby in Agents Die Lonely .
