Robert Bunting

Robert L. Bunting (* 1945 in Sacramento , California ) is an American chartered accountant .

Life

He studied accounting at the University of Idaho and graduated in 1968 with a "summa cum laude" bachelor's degree.

From 1968 to 1972 he started his professional activity at Pricewaterhouse . He then went to Moss Adams LLP (the 11th largest accounting firm in the US) in Seattle, where he became a partner. Bunting was CEO from 1981 to 2004 and Chairman in 2004 . He was also Chairman of Praxity (formerly Moores Rowland International ) from 1998 to 2004 .

From 2004 to 2005 he was Chairman of the AICPA Board of Directors . From 2006 he was Vice President and from 2008 to 2010 President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

In 2008 he received the AICPA Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Service and in 2009 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the University of Idaho.

He is married and has three children.
