Robert Flickinger

Robert A. Flickinger (born November 21, 1971 in Los Angeles ) is a retired British - American football player .

Life

Flickinger played American football at Georgetown College, Kentucky . In 1995, the 1.93-meter-long defensive player was under contract with the London Monarchs in the World League of American Football and initially from 1996 to 1998 with the Scottish Claymores in the same league that went into the NFL Europe . From 2001 to 2004 he was again a member of the Claymores. In 1996 he won the World Bowl with the team .

Since the league and the football Bundesliga in Germany did not play at the same time, Flickinger was able to play for the Braunschweig Lions from 1997 onwards. He remained a player in Lower Saxony until 2006, with whom he won five German championship titles (1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2006) and the Eurobowl in 1999 and 2003 .

In 1999 Flickinger was temporarily in the US state of Texas with the Houston Outlaws team in the Regional Football League under contract. In 2004 he took part in the preparation of the NFL team Kansas City Chiefs , but was removed from the roster in early September 2004.

After the end of his football career, Flickinger worked for an IT company in Hamburg from 2007 to 2009 , where he was responsible for international relations. He set up a subsidiary in Malta in 2009 and 2010 before moving back to the United States and working in digital media and entertainment in California .
