Robert Francis Garner (born April 27, 1920 in Jersey City , New Jersey , † December 25, 2000 ) was an American Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Newark .

Life

Robert Francis Garner received on 15 June 1946, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 3, 1976, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Blera and auxiliary bishop in Newark. The Archbishop of Newark, Peter L. Gerety , ordained him episcopal on June 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishop of New Orleans , Harold Robert Perry SVD , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Newark, Thomas Aloysius Boland .

On June 11, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted Robert Francis Garner's resignation due to reasons of age.
