Robert Fulton (Governor)

Sir Robert Fulton KBE (born December 21, 1948 ) was Governor of Gibraltar from 2006 to 2009 . He was previously a lieutenant general in the Royal Marines .

Robert Fulton was trained at Eton College before joining the Royal Marines in 1972. In 1995 he held a command of the UNPROFOR reaction forces before they were replaced by IFOR . Between 1997 and 1998 he commanded three different brigades . In 1998 he became commander in chief of the Royal Marines. From 2001 he worked in the UK Ministry of Defense as a supply manager. On June 3, 2003, he was promoted to lieutenant general.

He is married and has two sons.
