Robert Huebner (artist)

Robert Hübner (* 1967 in Linz ) is an Austrian visual artist , media designer, author, publisher and university teacher.

Live and act

After graduating from the humanistic grammar school in Wilhering in 1985, Hübner first studied art teaching with a focus on sculpture at the University for Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz with Hannes Haybäck (diploma 1993). This was followed by postgraduate studies in film, video and new media with the Polish director Janusz Kondratiuk and training in camera work and editing with Adam Olech.

After two years of school service as an art and craft teacher, Hübner followed the call in 1995 as an assistant and university teacher at the Linz Art Academy , where he was interim head of the Technology & Design department from 2010 to 2014 and head of the Space and Design Institute from 2012 to 2014 took over.

Since 2008 he has been chairman of the Parz artist group, founded by Hans Hoffmann-Ybbs in 1961, and organizes exhibitions and artistic performances by the group at home and abroad.
